What makes up our experiences? Is it the world, and the events
around us, as we casually drift downstream in the Boat of Life, with no
oars and no lifejacket? Are our experiences made by those with
higher power than ourselves, are they dictated? When we quiet our
minds and listen, we will find that it is we who create our
experiences. Think about the expression, “Time flies when
you’re having fun.” Does it not? When we create
a joyful experience for ourselves time ceases to be a burden. Why
can we not implement joy on a regular basis? Calm the jumbled
thoughts in your mind for a moment, and make a joyful noise to the Lord
of your being. What is your Joyful Noise? Is it a laugh,
giggle or chuckle? Is your joyful noise a shout, a whisper, a
tune to hum? Is it a song, or a mantra? Make your joyful
noise, and make it with gladness, knowing the God of your being smiles
and joins you in making this noise. As you go through this week,
whenever you feel the pressures of the world upon your shoulders,
pause- Find your breath and make your joyful noise. Then smile,
knowing that you are healed and all is well.
